Rethinking Weight Loss Benefits

Traditionally, the high-level view of weight loss benefits have been looking and feeling better and having more energy. Dig a bit deeper and you can add reduction in, or elimination of, chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, auto-immune disorders, back and joint pain, etc.

But starting in 2020, many discovered – no thanks to our health bureaucracies, media or political leaders, who were almost silent on the glaring issue – that obesity caused most of the dreaded co-morbidities that made the virus significantly more dangerous. In fact, the CDC is now admitting that upwards of 75% of deaths can actually be attributed to those chronic diseases and not the virus.  And with the adult American obese population now couched at approximately 46%, a golden opportunity to WAKE UP overweight Americans was squandered. I refuse to join them. So, let me shout it from the mountaintops…

Exercise And Nutrition Is Critical

This global tragedy should be a REAL motivator for weight loss fence sitters to get moving – through exercise and nutrition. It doesn’t have to be either extremely complex, or time-consuming. Sure, you can make it that way if you choose. However you approach it, you have a better chance of success if you get some help.

How To Get Started:

  • Hire a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach (especially someone who does both)
  • Set SMART goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely)
  • Invite accountability partners (coaches, family, friends)
  • KISS – Keep It Super Simple (Utilize pre-made/measured ingredients and products where possible)
  • Celebrate even small victories (just not with unhealthy food or alcohol)
